About Jakob

 

Jakob Jóhannsson (born 1966) is an Icelandic artist based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He is a graduate of the Iceland University of the Arts with a degree in Graphic Design, and has worked in advertising and Television for many years. 

He has also continued to create paintings as well, and is now a full time painter. 

 

In his paintings Jakob looks to depict moments of serenity, most often featuring a person in Iceland’s fantastic natural landscapes, where it’s easy to find peace and quiet - something most people search for in their lives.
